Book Launch 14th May, 2005
At Kulture Shock Bookstore, Norwich UK

It was only natural that the book launch would happen at Kulture Shock in Norwich. It is my 'local', and specialises in Science Fiction and Fantasy books and related merchandise. I've found many presents for the hard-to-buy-for men in my life here. After all, who could say no to a cuddly Shuggoth?

It was also lovely to meet the owner, Richard, who is a most pleasant man, as well as David who did the wonderful displays in the window and the store, as well as at the local mall. Many thanks to them both for their efforts and support!

Kulture Shock

The place filled fairly quickly with some colourful characters as well as some of those who were more subdued. The atmosphere quickly became festive, even more so when they opened the wine!

Attended by my beautiful daughter and now film company secretary, I signed loads of books, and never lacked for someone to talk to. Of course that may have been because of the bowl of sweets I had on the table in front of me...

As much as I don't like to draw attention to myself, it was a fun evening and it gave me real pleasure to know that each of the people there, friend and stranger alike, were about to enter my goblin world. I'm looking forward to sharing it even more through the film, and the child in me is anticipating having my own goblin characters as well as human character dolls among those on the wall in Kulture Shock and other shops like it that cater for those of us who love fantasy fiction.
